Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026.

Toolbox Leads ("Toolbox Leads", "I", "me", "my") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information is collected through this website, how it's used and stored, who it's shared with, and how you can access or correct it.

Who we are

Toolbox Leads is operated by Joshua Haughton, based in Coogee, NSW, providing website design, digital advertising, SEO and local search services to small businesses across Sydney. For any privacy question, contact josh@toolboxleads.com.au.

Information we collect

  • Contact form: name, business name, email, phone (optional), the service you're interested in, and any message you include
  • Free audit form: business name, website URL, email, phone (optional)
  • Anything you provide by phone, email or in person once we're in touch, such as details needed to prepare a quote or deliver a service
  • Basic, aggregated website analytics (e.g. pages visited, general location, device type), if and when analytics tools are enabled on this site

Toolbox Leads doesn't knowingly collect sensitive information (e.g. health, financial or government ID details) through this website — please don't include this kind of information in any form or message.

How your information is used

  • To respond to your enquiry, quote request or free audit request
  • To provide, invoice and support services you've engaged Toolbox Leads for
  • To send updates directly related to work you've asked for — not general marketing, unless you separately opt in
  • To improve this website and the services on offer

Your information is never sold to third parties.

Form submissions and third-party processing

Contact and free audit form submissions on this site are processed using Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. When you submit a form, your details are sent to and briefly stored by Formspree before being forwarded to Toolbox Leads' email address. Formspree may store and process data on servers located outside Australia (including the United States); by submitting a form, you consent to this. Formspree's own privacy policy governs how it handles that data — see formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy for details.

How long your information is kept

  • Enquiry and audit request details are generally kept for up to 24 months from your last contact, to allow for reasonable follow-up, then deleted or de-identified unless you ask for this sooner
  • If you become a client, information needed to deliver services and meet accounting/tax obligations is kept for as long as required by Australian law (currently up to 5 years for financial records under ATO requirements)
  • You can ask for your information to be deleted at any time, subject to any legal or accounting record-keeping obligations

Data security

Reasonable steps are taken to protect the personal information Toolbox Leads holds from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including relying on the security practices of reputable third-party providers (such as Formspree) for form data in transit and storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and this can't be guaranteed absolutely.

Your rights

You can ask, at any time, to:

  • Access the personal information Toolbox Leads holds about you
  • Correct any information that's inaccurate or out of date
  • Have your information deleted, subject to the retention needs described above
  • Ask a question or make a complaint about how your information has been handled

To do any of these, email josh@toolboxleads.com.au. A response can generally be expected within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with the response, you can raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand how it's used (e.g. which pages are visited). Any such tools are configured to avoid identifying you personally wherever possible. This site does not currently run advertising re-targeting pixels or third-party tracking cookies; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Australian Privacy Principles

This policy has been prepared with reference to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Small businesses below a certain turnover threshold are, in some circumstances, exempt from parts of the Privacy Act — regardless, Toolbox Leads aims to handle personal information in line with the APPs as good practice.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time, e.g. as services or tools change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of this site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
